Robyn holds an Honours Bachelor degree in Kinesiology with a minor in Psychology and a Masters of Science in Physiotherapy from McMaster University. She has taken professional development courses in therapeutic taping, soft tissue release techniques, and Pilates for use in health care. She has her level 1 manual therapy with the Orthopaedic Division of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association and her level 1 acupuncture with the Acupuncture Foundation of Canada Institute. Robyn is also a registered yoga teacher.
Robyn is experienced in myofascial release and osteopathic techniques such as cranio-sacral therapy, strain-counter-strain, and muscle energy. She has clinical experience and a special interest in working with paediatric populations.
Robyn traveled to Ghana in 2010 with a group of doctors, nurses, pharmacists, physiotherapists, a dentist, and eye doctor to treat patients in rural areas without access to medical care. She occasionally acts as a supervisor for physiotherapy students at McMaster University. She enjoys dancing, yoga, and running in her spare time, as well as traveling and the outdoors.
